On Monday 10th February, Yanis Kouyaté opened his Franchise in Strasbourg, a brand new city and a brand new adventure for him after 3 years as a Brand Ambassador. A further step for the expansion of Geninc in France and Europe. Yanis, and some of the Brand Ambassadors who followed him from Lyon share their first impressions with us.
Why did you choose Strasbourg?
“It’s a city that is very well located, there are beautiful cities nearby like Colmar and Metz and there’s a great energy. I didn’t know the city very well, I went there 10 years ago when I was playing basketball for a game.“
How does it feel to open a Franchise in a new city?
“It’s stressful and exciting at the same time, it’s a great challenge and I want to prove to myself that I’m up to the challenge! I feel a bit like a pioneer, and the Brand Ambassadors who have chosen to follow me and myself will give everything to develop this new Franchise.”
What’s your goal for this town?
“My goal by the end of the year is to have 25 Brand Ambassadors working with my Franchise and to promote 2 coaches. I am fortunate to be able to rely on Imane and Julia, an administrator and a recruiter, to help me build a solid foundation, but also on other Franchisees like Steve Shortt and Florent Bernard who came to help me during the first week.”

How do you feel about this change of city?
At first I was very apprehensive, going away from my family was a bit stressful, but since I want to reach my personal goal it only took me a few seconds to get started.
I have absolutely no regrets.
It’s a little cold but everything is fine, the people of Strasbourg are very nice and this city is very beautiful.
As soon as I heard that Yanis was opening a Franchise in Strasbourg, I immediately made up my mind. Moving to another city and starting all over again is an opportunity that doesn’t come around twice so I wanted to get out of my comfort zone. Here, I intend to double the responsibilities I already had in Lyon and take my development in hand to achieve the goals I have set myself.
